Eligibility

  • Primary – 8-13 Years as at 31/12/YOC. Year 2 students turning 8 in the year of competition are eligible. Primary students can only compete in the Primary events.
  • Secondary – Years 7-12

Cost

A sport nomination fee of $33.04 (inclusive of GST) per student will be charged to the school at the end of each term.

Further Representation – NSWCIS Team

  • A NSWCIS PrimaryTeam will be selected to attend the NSWPSSA Championships. There will be a player’s levy and uniform costs involved with competing at this level.
  • A NSWCIS Merit Team will be selected from the Secondary Championships. CIS is unable to enter a team to the NSW All Schools Athletics Championships.   Students wishing to access the representative pathway must nominate and compete at the NSW All Schools Athletics Championships. Further information and the online entryform can be accessed through the Athletics NSW website.

  • TFMM DB 5.0 or 6.0
    • As this file cannot be loaded on the website it will be sent to Association delegates via email in the first week of Term 3.

Primary Events

Athletes may only compete in their own age events or age group.  In the case of Junior and Senior events, the following age groupings apply:

Junior - 8, 9 and 10  Years

Senior -11, 12 & 13 Years

Primary Association Entry

Each Association may have 3 entries per event (with exception of *1500m and 800m - see below)

* CSSA may have one additional if desired

* IPSHA may have 2 additional if desired

1500m - Each association is guaranteed 1 entry and may enter another 2 provided they meet the following qualifying times.:
                Boys - Junior & 11 Years - 5.40;  Senior - 5.30
                Girls - Junior, 11 Years , and Senior  -  6.00

800m - All associations may enter 3 athletes.  However we ask that the following times be used as a guide  If the athlete can't meet theses times, consider not entering them.
              Boys - Junior, 11 Years & Senior - 2.50
              Girls - Junior, 11 Years & Senior - 3.00
               
High Jump Starting Heights (SH)
Boys 
   - Junior- 1.10m                           11 Years - 1.25m                                         12/13 Years -  1.30 m
Girls   - Junior -  1.05m                         11 Years -  1.20m                                        12/13 Years  -  1.25 m

In the following events students jump/throw/put will not be measured unless they reach the following qualifying distances.

Long Jump:
Boys    - Junior- 3.80m                          11 Years - 3.90m                                         12/13 Years -  4.10 m
Girls   - Junior - 3.30m                           11 Years -  3.40m                                        12/13 Years  -  3.80 m

Discus:
Boys    - Junior- 19m                          11 Years - 18.5m                                         12/13 Years -   20 m
Girls   - Junior - 15m                          11 Years -  16m                                           12/13 Years  -  16 m

Shotput:
Boys    - Junior- 7.50m                          11 Years - 8.50 m                                         12/13 Years -  8 m
Girls   - Junior - 5.30m                          11 Years - 6.80 m                                        12/13 Years  -  6.8 m

Secondary Events

3 entries per Association per event ie. 3 cometitors per event/per gender in both track and field events. Students must compete in the applicable age group below. Please note Relay exceptions also below. All ages are calculated as at 31/12/in the year of competition (YOC)

Track Events- 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 
Field Events- High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shotput, Discus, Javelin.

Please Note the Following Exceptions

Triple Jump 12/13 Years

The best three competitors across both age groups only.  Three nominations for this event.

Relays - competitors may only compete in 1 relay
14 & U
Open

Multi-Class Athlete events - Associations may enter 3 x 15 & Under competitors + 3 x 16 & Over competitors
