Championship Entry

Carnival Entry and Exit will be through the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre General Entry only. The Mouse Hole Entry will not be open. 

Whilst awaiting entry please follow directions of staff and signage.

Session 1

Monday 6 May

Trial Format

Inter Association Championship
The following events will be contested for both Boys and Girls

Session 1

  • 300m All Age Relay (6 x 50m)
  • 50m Freestyle
  • Jun / Inter / Open - 200m Medley Relay;
  • 200IM;
  • Junior / Inter / Open 200m Freestyle Relay 

All events will be conducted as Timed Finals (TF).

Session 2

12,13,14,15,16,17-19 Yrs - Boys and Girls

  • 50m Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly;
  • 100m Freestyle

Junior , Inter & Senior Boys and Girls

  • 100m Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly;
  • 200m Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly

Multi-Class 15 & Under ; 16 & Over

  • 50m Freestyle,Backstroke, Breaststroke & Butterfly;
  • Multi -Class 12 - 19 Years;
  • 100m Freestyle & Backstroke

N.B. Times are an approximation only and will not be accepted as a reason for any competitor missing their event. Alteration at the discretion of the Championship Manager should circumstances arise.

Live Streaming

PLEASE NOTE THE CIS SECONDARY SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL BE LIVE STREAMED.
If you do not give permission for you child to be live streamed, please contact CIS.  Schools /associations to notify CIS of any students they know are not to be live streamed

Click & Collect - Merchandise

CIS Merchandise & Apparel will also be available for purchase on the day of the event from the CIS Uniform provider, Valour.

Additional Information

Withdrawals: Each Association is responsible for their own replacements, but this information must be supplied to the recorders at least 15 minutes prior to the race to avoid disqualification. Students that are not withdrawn and do not compete will be charged the Nomination Fee. 

Spectators: Spectators are encouraged to stay in the grandstand area. 
NO SPECTATORS WILL BE ALLOWED IN the MARSHALLING AREA or ON POOL DECK, including the Warm Up Area.
Officials have been allocated to supervise the Warm Up Area. 

Parking: Parking is available in the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre Car Park for a flat rate of $21 for the day.

First Aid: First Aid is provided by Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. 

Dress: Swimmers must fall in line with FINA rules and requirements regarding swimming gear. 

All competitors in individual events must wear Association cap. School relay teams, provided all caps are the same, may wear either School or Association Caps for the Relays only.

NSWCIS supports the Inclusive Swimwear Policy

Swimmers (supported by an Associaiton Officials) are required to seek approval from the Referee prior to the commencement of the meet. 

Food & Drink: There will be food/service concession available on day.

Protests: Any protests must come through the Association Team Manager only. 

CIS Team

All swimmers who participate at the NSWCIS carnival should be available for selection in the CIS Team in the events in which they swim. Should this not be the case, individual Association Delegates and Convenors should be notified so that they can inform the selectors prior to the meet.

Generally only those who compete at the CIS Championships will be eligible for selection in the CIS Secondary Swimming Team. Usually selections will be based on the fastest 3 times per event and the NSWCIS Selection Policy (see Operational Guidelines). Students placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd must report to the Shane Gould Room to register, purchase uniform and pay the levy. 

Secondary Swimmers selected to compete at NSW All Schools who withdraw without a medical certificate more than 1 week after the publication of the full CIS Swimming Team List will incur a fine of $15.00 and may not be considered for further selection. Changes at the NSW All Schools Championships due to illness or injury will be at the discretion of the Team Managers.

Fourth place-getters: are generally reserves. Should there be a withdrawal students will be contacted via their school prior to the NSWPSSA Championships.

Multi Class swimmers: for the CIS team is subject to placing on the basis of classification and pathway qualifying standards, they are not necessarily the result of the actual race. Official places will be posted on the result board at the Championships. 

Selection in the CIS Team will be confirmed on the CIS website following the CIS Championships.

At NSW All Schools the maximum age for swimmers is turning 19 in the year of competition.
