Method of Entry

  • Association – nominated by the Association

Eligibility

  • 17 & Under Secondary – DOB as at 31/12/YOC
  • Associations may enter ONE team of up to 13 players
  • Player names to be added to the Association Teams by this date. This must be completed online by the Association Delegate or a Staff Member who has been designated this Duty. 
  • Associations not entering a full Team, but nominating a few talented players in a partial team entry must ensure the word partial is added to the end of their team name.
    • Individuals nominated through Partial Team entries will form the basis of a Barbarian Team to compete at the trials. Should no partial entries be received there will be no Barbarian team. Should 1 association enter a partial team with 1 player a barbarian team will compete.
    • Associations entering a full team are asked to select three shadow players at their trials. Once the Association Entry date has passed if a Barbarian Team is required, CIS will notify each Association how many shadows are required from each Association to form the Barbarian Team. CIS will organise a coach for the Barbarian Team.

Cost

A sport nomination fee of $33.04 (inclusive of GST) per student will be charged to the school at the end of each term.

Further Representation – NSWCIS Team

  • A NSWCIS Team will be selected to attend an Exchange. There will be a player’s levy and uniform costs involved with competing at this level.

 

Student Officials 

The method of entry for all Student Officials is individual nomination direct to CIS by the school. Nominations are to be made through the Student Officials portal in Revolutionise.

Student umpires/referees should have qualifications and experience in officiating, and will be required to attend the CIS Event so that their skill level can be assessed.

Student Officials who are selected to represent CIS will be required to purchase some mandatory uniform items, and will be responsible for their own accommodation and travel to and from the NSWPSSA/NSW All Schools Event.

N.B. In most sports, access to the pathway for Secondary Student Officials to reach School Sport Australia level is at Primary events.
