2025 NSWCIS Primary and Secondary Cross Country Championships |
The 2025 NSWCIS Primary and Secondary Cross Country Championships will be held at Sydney International Equestrian Centre on Thursday 12 June, 2025.
Please read through the following information carefully in preparation for the event.

Venue entry for all competitors, officials and spectators will be via the Main Entry off Saxony Road, Horsley Park.
Spectator parking will be in P3 and P2. Please follow the directions of parking attendants.
Team and Association Official's parking will be in P4 and P5 - a parking permit displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle will be required for this area.
After parking, please follow signage to enter the Indoor Arena 5 via the Main Entrance.

Secondary
Entry: 7:30am
Walk the Course: 8:30am - Secondary 4000m and 3000m
Course Closed: 9:15am
Event 1: 9:30am
Primary
Please note:
- Primary Competitors should not arrive at the venue prior to 11:30am.
Walk the Course: 12:30pm - Primary 3000m and 2000m
Course Closed: 1:10pm
Event 16: 1:23pm

Each Association has been allocated a section in the Grand Stand.

N.B. Course Maps are a guide only. Alteration at the discretion of Championship Management should circumstances arise.
Marshalling
Competitors will be marshalled behind the Main Arena 1.

On the Day - Merchandise
CIS Merchandise will be available for purchase on the day.
The Merchandise Stand will be located at the Main Entrance to the Indoor Arena.

CIS Primary and Secondary Cross Country Teams |
The top 10 place getters at the Secondary level automatically qualify for the CIS Secondary Cross Country Team. This team will compete at the NSW All Schools Cross Country Championships to be held on Tuesday 22 July at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre.
The top 6 place getters in each event at the Primary level automatically qualify for the CIS Primary Cross Country Team. This team will compete at the NSWPSSA Cross Country Championships to be held on Wednesday 23 July at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre.
CIS Team Uniform
Competitors successful in gaining a position in the CIS Primary or Secondary Cross Country Team will need to report to the Team Room following their race to register, pay the Team Member Levy, and purchase Mandatory Uniform Items.
Costs associated with competing at the next level include the Team Member Levy: $55 and Mandatory Uniform Items: minimum $174.
Please note: Valour Sport is the CIS Official Merchandise partner. CIS Team Uniform must be Valour branded. |
Additional Carnival Information |
First Aid: First Aid is provided by Ambulance Australia.
Dress: Competitors must compete in their Association uniform. Running shoes must be worn - no spikes allowed. No portable media players, multi-purpose pocket computers or mobile phones allowed.
Food & Drink: Refreshments, lunches, drinks and snacks are available from the food kiosk in the Indoor Arena 5.
Restrooms: There are restrooms located in the Indoor Arena 5 as well as at Main Arena 1.
Spectators: Spectators are not permitted to go onto the course, enter the marshalling area or enter the recording area.
Live Streaming: Unfortunately, this event will not be live streamed.
Wet Weather: The CIS Cross Country will go ahead regardless of the weather. In adverse conditions students should come prepared with extra clothes for after their event. Attendees should be prepared with wet weather jackets, umbrellas etc. |
